Bronchitis Ayurvedic Treatment - Interesting Aspects of Acute Bronchitis
Acute bronchitis is very common among people with respiratory conditions. This type of bronchitis can occur in anyone, at any age. Acute bronchitis usually accompanies flu or cold and in most cases it doesn't need medical treatment. When acute bronchitis is caused by viruses, the illness can clear on itself within a few days. However, more serious forms of acute bronchitis may require specific medical treatment. If acute bronchitis is caused by infection with bacteria, an appropriate treatment with antibiotics is required for overcoming the illness.
Acute Bronchitis can be Very Difficult to Diagnose
The symptoms it generates are also characteristic to many other respiratory conditions (asthma, allergies, sinusitis). Acute bronchitis can be effectively diagnosed only through the means of elaborate physical examinations and laboratory analyses.
You suffer from acute bronchitis, it is advised to keep away from external irritants (dust, smoke, pollutants, chemicals), as they can aggravate the illness. If you have difficulty breathing, drink plenty of fluids (still mineral water, warm tea) and avoid taking left-over medicines! Self-medication can cause a lot of harm. Antibiotics shouldn't be administered without the doctor's permission and children shouldn't take aspirin or anti-inflammatory medicines when suffering from acute bronchitis. Use air humidifiers and maintain a warm temperature in your bedroom. If you are a smoker, stop! Smoking can cause serious damage to the respiratory system and smokers who suffer from acute bronchitis are also susceptible to developing chronic bronchitis. Acute bronchitis doesn't last more than a few weeks. However, patients with acute bronchitis can sometimes experience an aggravation of their symptoms in time or they can develop chronic bronchitis. Chronic bronchitis is a form of bronchitis that generates less intense symptoms, but the illness can lead to serious complications in time. Unlike acute bronchitis, which can clear on itself in a short period of time, chronic bronchitis persists in time and needs ongoing medical treatment. :D.
Bronchitis causes inflammation, irritation and obstruction with mucus of the respiratory tract. The majority of patients who suffer from respiratory conditions are diagnosed with bronchitis. Bronchitis can be either acute or chronic. Acute bronchitis generates intense symptoms and evolves rapidly (has a short period of incubation), while chronic bronchitis generates moderate, time recidivating symptoms. Writing an article on Bronchitis Symptom was our foremost priority while thinking of a topic to write on. This is because Bronchitis Symptom are interesting parts of our lives, and are needed by us.
Acute bronchitis is caused by viruses, it doesn't require medical treatment and usually ameliorates within a few days. Acute bronchitis generates symptoms like cough, shortness of breath, wheezing, chest soreness when breathing. When patients with acute bronchitis also have moderate or high fever, it is a sign of bacterial infection and therefore medical treatment with antibiotics is required. The presence of yellowish mucus in cough or spit can also point to infection with bacteria. If patients are coughing blood, it is a sign of complication (pneumonia) and immediate medical treatment is required.
What are These Conditions?
Chronic bronchitis and emphysema are characterized by chronically blocked breathing passages. Collectively, asthma, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis or any combination are called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Usually, more than one of these underlying conditions coexist; most often, bronchitis and emphysema occur together.
How are They Treated?
Treatment aims to relieve symptoms and prevent complications. Because most people with chronic bronchitis or emphysema receive outpatient treatment, they get comprehensive teaching to help them comply with therapy and understand the nature of these progressive diseases. If programs "oil pulling" (http://rufusc.phpbb.net/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=28) rehabilitation are available, they should consider enrolling. :D.
What are the Symptoms?
The typical person with chronic bronchitis or emphysema is a longterm cigarette smoker who has no symptoms until middle age, when his or her ability to exercise or do strenuous work starts to decline and a productive cough begins. Subtle at first, these problems worsen with age and as the disease progresses. Eventually, they cause difficulty breathing on minimal exertion, frequent respiratory infections, oxygen deficiency in the blood, and abnormalities in pulmonary function. When advanced, chronic bronchitis and emphysema may cause chest deformities, overwhelming disability, heart enlargement, severe respiratory failure, and death.
- Eat a balanced diet.
- Because you may tire easily when eating, eat frequent, small meals and consider using oxygen, delivered by a nasal cannula, during meals.
To strengthen your breathing muscles, take slow, deep breaths and exhale through pursed lips. - If you're receiving home oxygen therapy, make sure you or a family member knows how to use the equipment correctly. Don't increase the oxygen flow or concentration above what the doctor prescribes because too much oxygen may eliminate your respiratory drive and cause confusion and drowsiness. You probably won't need more than 2 to 3 liters per minute . Now that we think about it, Chronic Bronchitis Emphysema are not actually that difficult a topic to write about. Just looking at the word, ideas form in people's minds about the meaning and usage of Chronic Bronchitis Emphysema.
If you're taking antibiotics to treat a respiratory infection, be sure to complete the entire prescribed course of therapy. - Practice good oral hygiene to help prevent infection, and learn how to recognize early symptoms of infection. Avoid people with respiratory infections. Get Pneumovax (pneumococcal vaccine) and annual flu shots.
What can a person with chronic bronchitis or emphysema do? - Stop smoking and avoid other respiratory irritants. - Install an air conditioner with an air filter in your home.
- How are they Diagnosed?
- A history of cigarette smoking plus the results of blood and pulmonary function studies help confirm these diseases.
What Causes Them?
Predisposing factors include cigarette smoking, recurrent or chronic respiratory infections, air pollution, and allergies. Smoking is by far the most important of these factors. Smoking increases mucus production but impairs its removal from the airways, impedes the function of airway cells that digest disease-causing organisms, causes airway inflammation, destroys air sacs in the lungs, and leads to abnormal fibrous tissue growth in the bronchial tree. Early inflammatory changes may reverse themselves if the person stops smoking before lung destruction is extensive. Family and hereditary factors may also predispose a person to chronic bronchitis or emphysema. It was really tough getting information about anything previously. Now with the advent of the Internet, anyone can access any information at any time of the day.
To help remove secretions, learn how to cough effectively. If you have abundant, tenacious secretions, have a family member perform postural drainage (repositioning to drain fluids) and chest physical therapy. (Ask your doctor for instructions on these techniques.) If your secretions are thick, drink at least 6 eight ounce glasses of fluid a day. A humidifier may aid secretion removal, especially in the winter. There are no boundaries on countries for one to access information about Emphysema Chronic Bronchitis through the Internet. Listening to the Plants
Nature is Talking to us. The shamans say that plants connect us with nature because they take their nourishment directly from the earth, as well as the sun's rays, the air, and water. They allow us to know and recognize ourselves. A shaman must know this and must love his people to heal them. Here are just a few of the plant healers.
Pi'on Colorado Jatropha Gossypifoilio
Has short lived effect after drinking but helps lucid dreaming later on when you go to bed. Can be used as a planta maestra and it is a plant that maestros can take when being during their initiation. Can also take with tobacco. We have also translated parts of this composition into French and Spanish to facilitate easier understanding of Asthma Bronchitis. In this way, more people will get to understand the composition. :D.
The large tuber of the plant is an well known and highly effective antidote for the bite of venomous snakes. The tuber is chopped up, and immersed in cold water and then drunk. Also the chopped tuber is placed in a banana leaf and used as a poultice which is wrapped around the bite area. These procedures are repeated every few hours. Of course the deal here is that it works, and as it not possible to store anti-venom vaccines in the rainforest without refrigeration, this plant has exceptional life-saving importance.
Reflections. On reflection plant medicine is totally different than pharmaceutical medication which only affects one whilst it is being taken; these kinds of plant medicines seem to have a permanent effect in some way metaphorical or otherwise altering one's consciousness or "DNA". Paracelus, is still a source of inspiration to all those who work with the healing properties of herbs, and the plants.
Mocura / Mucura Petivera Alliacea
This plant can be taken orally or used in floral baths to raise energy, or take you out of a saladera (a run of bad luck, inertia, sense of not living to the full). Gives mental strength and you can feel its effects as also with Ajo Sacha, both are varieties of 'false' garlic and have a penetrating aroma. This is accordance with the 'doctrine of signatures' concept. This doctrine is at the heart of homeopathy, folk medicine, and plant shamanism. The doctrine was revealed by the great alchemist and physician Paracelus who lived in the 16th Century. The underlying principle was that the healing properties of the plant are not only in the outer 'physical' form, but also in their inner or spiritual nature. The Doctrine of Signatures holds that this inner nature can be revealed by it's outer physical form or signatures. This plant is a clear demonstration of the outer form indicating the inner qualities. It's use is directly related to it's physical appearance, the patterns on the tall stem closely resembles the skin patterns of the highly venomous pit viper known as 'Bushmaster' or Jararaca which is indigenous to the Amazon.
The plant's properties on the physical level relate to problems such as, burns, swellings, intestinal parasites , Insect bites and stings, vaginal infections, and bronchitis. It is possible to take the resin which is much stronger but toxic if too much ingested. The resin can be applied directly to the skin. It was with keen interest that we got about to writing on Asthma Bronchitis. Hope you read and appreciate it with equal interest.
Teresa a Shipiba craftswoman who joins us on our Amazon Retreats, told me that it is customary when the girls are very young for their mothers to squeeze a few drops of the 'piri piri' seed sap into their eyes in order to give their daughters the ability to have visions of the designs that she will make throughout her life.
The men cultivate special sedges to improve their hunting. Since the plant is used for such a wide range of conditions, it was once dismissed as being mere superstition. Pharmacological research has revealed the presence of ergot alkaloids, which are known to have diverse effects on the body from stimulation of the nervous system to constriction of blood vessels. These alkaloids are responsible for the wide range of medicinal uses. Apparently the ergot alkaloids come not from the plant itself but from a fungus that infects the plant. Aiming high is our motto when writing about any topic. In this way, we tend to add whatever matter there is about Bronchitis, rather than drop any topic.
One of it's qualities is that on a personal psychological level it can boost one's strength. For example it is considered good in countering shyness, and can strengthen one's own sense of personal value and authority. One of it's properties is to help people overcome 'irrational' fears & fearful memories We are satisfied with this end product on Infections Bronchitis. It was really worth the hard work and effort in writing so much on Infections Bronchitis.

Jergon Sacha (Dracontium Peruviuanum)
My first exposure to this plant came about quite accidentally, when one day walking through the rainforest studying the properties of the plants, the maestro Javier queried why I always walked around with a machete. I jokingly replied "it's against anacondas!". He paused in thought for a moment and beckoned for me to follow him, a few minutes later we came across this tall stemmed plant. He proceeded to cut it down and then whip me around the body paying attention to my legs and the soles of my feet.. He then said "no more problems, you are protected against snakes". I asked him why this plant was used in this way, and he indicated the pattern on the stem which looks identical to the snakes in the forest. Later as I started to investigate this plant even more, I discovered some interesting correspondences; this is a plant which is widely used as an antidote against snake bite venom in the Amazon. Enhancing your vocabulary is our intention with the writing of this article on Infections Bronchitis. We have used new and interesting words to achieve this.
Medicinal properties include asthma, bronchitis, reduction of fat and cholesterol. This plant grows widely in the lower Amazon, and it is used widely in purification (floral baths) . We have not included any imaginary or false information on Asthma Bronchitis here. Everything here is true and up to the mark!
Piri-Piri, (Cyperaceae)
Native people throughout the Amazon cultivate numerous varieties of medicinal sedges to treat a wide range of health problems, the native peoples for example, use sedge roots to treat headaches, fevers, cramps, dysentery and wounds as well as to ease childbirth. Special sedge varieties are cultivated by Shipiba women to improve their skill weaving and to protect their babies from illness.
